“I’ve always written. In fact I almost wrote before I spoke. I had severe issues as a child. I was in seven different foster home before the age of three. Due to emotional and physical abuse, I was not potty trained, did not speak, and was considered unadoptable. Luckily, I was placed in my final foster home with two parents willing to help both my brother and me as well as raise their daughter.
I love poetry. I believe poetry is the language of the people. It is designed to be memorable so one can transport a poem’s message easily.”
